Hello! I'm Fernando Monroy, an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in San Francisco. When it comes to exploring, I love traveling the world. I have visited 25 countries and 120+ cities. ART DIRECTION
Diverse and extensive experience in Art Direction, Graphic Design, and Project Management. Able to develop and manage multiple projects and campaigns of varying sizes and complexity from concept to completion, on time and within budget.
PRINT DESIGN
Knowledge, management and implementation of brand standards, brand refinement, brand collateral, brand scalability and production. Extensive experience working and with printers, copywriters, photographers, illustrators and industry related vendors.
DIGITAL DESIGN
I'm a visual designer who can solve complex design problems. Possess clear understanding of user experience, user interface, and web design. Work primarily with web layouts and deliverables, including: icons, infographics, banner ads, social media assets, and presentations. Fully aware of how front-end developers work, and the languages they use. I'm not a coder, but know how to communicate with those who do.
INFORMATION DESIGN
I love turning data into rational and visible imagery that users can readily grasp and understand. Simplicity is the key to information design. The aim is clarity. I follow five simple steps when it comes to information design: 1. Work with solid data. 2. Get to the point. 3. Pick the right tool for the job. 4. Highlight what is important. 5. Keep it simple.
